The dancing doll of death is back! Two years after we first met M3GAN, Blumhouse's murderously loyal emotional support android with killer moves in every way, Gerard Johnstone and Akela Cooper are bringing her back for more exquisitely choreographed carnage as Chucky's heir apparent gets ready to go to war with an Ivanna Sakhno shaped android adversary. But before we get stuck into that, check out M3GAN throwing some shapes to Chappell Roan's 'Femininomenon' in the first teaser trailer for MEGAN 2.0:

"Miss me?" asks Amie Donald's Jenna Davis voiced bot in the new M3GAN 2.0 spot, released during this past weekend's Grammys. We'll say! And while this first look at her big comeback tells us very little about what the movie has in store, the newly released plot synopsis for the film actually gives us a lot of eyebrow raising new information. Now, we won't chuck the whole wall of words at you (you can see that here), but the CliffNotes is thus: Two years after AI bestie M3GAN went rogue, her creator Gemma (Allison Williams) has become a writer and A.I. safeguarding advocate while a now teenaged Cady (Violet McGraw) is rebelling against her aunt's overprotective streak. Unbeknownst to both niece and aunt however is the fact that the tech that built M3GAN has been nabbed by a defence contractor and used to create Amelia (Sakhno), a killer spy who — surprise surprise! — has also gone rogue. And who on Earth can stop her and save the world? Well, none other than the original A.I. bitch herself (Editor's note: Blumhouse's words, not ours), that's who — newly resurrected and rocking a set of lethal upgrades. Phew! Even the shorter version's still long. But here's a lovely new poster to break things up a little;

Tagging along for the M3GAN 2.0: Robot Wars (as nobody is calling it) are franchise returnees Brian Jordan Alvarez and Jen Van Epps, who are both back as Gemma’s tech pals Cole and Tess. They're joined by newcomers Aristotle Athari, Timm Sharp, and actual Jemaine Clement! We'll find out the part they have to play in our favourite mass murdering BFF's latest cinematic update — and whether anything here will give us hints about the MCU's first spin-off, SOULM8TE — when M3GAN 2.0 sashays its way into multiplexes on 27 June. The femininomenon continues!
