6. The US yesterday, sent another message to President Muhammadu Buhari over the ban of microblogging site, Twitter, saying he should respect the rights of Nigerians. In a statement on Thursday, Antony Blinken, US Secretary of State, said restricting social media has no place in a democracy.
7. Unknown gunmen yesterday, attacked Ojoto Police station in Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State and gunned down one Police Inspector. Anambra Police Spokesman, Ikenga Tochukwu confirmed the incident.
8. The Caretaker Extra-Ordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has rolled out timetable for the conduct of the party’s congresses from the ward to zonal levels. 9. President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday said he has given directives for the upward review of Police salaries and benefits. The President made this known while delivering a speech on Thursday during a one-day visit to Lagos State, where he inaugurated various projects.
10. The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, has said that the President Muhammadu Buhari administration respects the Nigerian constitution. He spoke in Zamfara at the presentation of official vehicles to Magistrates and Sharia Court Judges.
